Meet the PTA Board
PresidentKristin RooneyI’m a proud mom to Keira (8th) and Kaitlin (3rd). I knew Navesink was special the moment we stepped through the doors. This is my 5th year on the board and 2nd as
president. We are honored and fortunate to be a part of the Navesink community. I’m excited to work alongside our amazing board and members to help make our little school with a big heart the best place it can be. |
VP of EventsKaren RodriguezI have been a PTA member for 5 years, 4th year as a Board Member, I love being involved in my children's future! I have 2 boys, John (3rd grade) and Mario (5th grade). We love being at the beach during the summer months as well as being with friends & family. I enjoy helping make our small school a better place for all of our children & staff!

VP of FundraisingAlyson SontaI am the mom of Christian (senior at CBA), Andrew (sophomore at South), Justin (8th grade at Bayshore), and Nina (5th grade). After 13 years as an elementary school parent and PTA member (4 years as as a board member at New Monmouth and Navesink), this is my final year! My kids are all involved in Middletown Soccer Club (and I coach/manage) and Jersey Giants travel baseball. I am looking forward to the 2022-23 school year and working with this PTA board filled with incredible moms!

SecretaryMelissa DausI am a proud mom to Bernie (8th grade), Henry (3rd grade), and Ethan (1st grade). We joined the Navesink family two years ago and immediately fell in love with this community. Everyone from the teachers, staff, and families contribute to making a positive and caring environment for our children. Outside of school, our family loves spending time outdoors, including coaching and supporting our sons’ sports teams. I am eager to work with this fantastic board to make this year the best one yet at Navesink Elementary School!

TreasurerJenn GreeleyI'm very excited to be serving on the PTA Board for my second year, meeting all of our new families and helping to make this a memorable, fun and wonderful year for our

Descriptions of Open Roles
Financial Review Committee- Recruited in order to explore the PTA board’s financial records. Will view the transactions and make sure there are no discrepancies and ensure accurate disbursements. This review happens once a year in September. This is a very small time commitment.
Philanthropy- This is a new committee focused on giving back to our community. This chair would come up with ideas and organize some events to benefit those in need in our community. For example a drive for the Blessing Bag Brigade, a penny drive, a holiday giving event.
Please do not feel that chairing a committee has to take all your time – it doesn’t! Many committees are one-time events. Those that are ongoing often only require a little bit of work over an extended period. In particular, the committees listed below need chairs. A brief description is included, but if you have any questions or would like more information please contact the President or either of the VPs.
